Bon Iver has released a preview single, “Calgary”, prior to the official debut of the new album “Bon Iver, Bon Iver”. It’s being offered as a free download from their website.
I’ve been recently introduced to The Cave Singers and their song, “Swim Club” made it in to the sonic elixir today.
An interesting endeavor from Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi, called “Rome”, has made it’s way to the shelves of KKCR. Inspired by the soundtracks from Italian movies of the 60′s and 70′s, the album spans years of recording music in Rome with old-time Italian musicians. Jack White and Norah Jones lend vocals. Here’s a trailer melding music and film and giving some backstory to the project.
